(12,769 posts)Bernie supporters are the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Bernie has done us a Yuuuge favor by getting us all together and allowing us to realize that so many feel the same way we do. The genie can't be stuck back in the bottle, the movement can only grow from here.

(646 posts)Looks like the Sanders' organization needs babysitters to keep their volunteers from insulting potential voters.

(45,319 posts)support the other Democrat. If I was making the call, I'd not say 'get well' but I would say 'your polling place is the same no matter which Democrat you are voting for, glad to hear you will be casting your vote'.
And anyone who uses name calling tactics like 'dude bro' fails to garner my respect.

(45,319 posts)wrapped up in entitlement and privilege. Further, the name calling has to have a motive, that sort of thing simply can not help Hillary, it's aimed at harming Bernie and the only beneficiary is you. You are soaking in it fully for your own amusement and to the detriment of both candidates and of this Party.
But you have fun, and that's what matters. Right?

So you came to DU just to do what you are doing here today. Flinging trash talk and smearing Democrats.

(45,319 posts)571. You speak to other DUers in a surly and privilege soaked manner and your posting history suggests an interest in this Primary that has been absent in other election cycles and around other issues. 14 years of no posts. Then 571 in 90 days.
It's an odd pattern and when it comes with trash talk and name calling as leading style element it does raise a few questions.

(15,807 posts)Lots of people lurk and rarely comment. Calling someone out for that? That's the odd thing here.
Go for more civility.
Henhouse
(646 posts)The attacks on Hillary, by both the Bernie people and right-wingers, on this site, was the tipping point.
I don't even know what you mean by "surly and privilege soaked manner"? I'm I supposed to be cowed by that. You don't like my tone?
You can't be this un-self aware?

(52,161 posts)and she choose an efficient way to let the person know that they were barking up the wrong tree. The volunteer was completely out of line, full stop. You are perilously close to using a she wore a short skirt justification in this thread. She shouldn't have to text war and peace in order to avoid being snarked at.

(9,610 posts)I get texts from the Bernie campaign a few times a week.
Bluenorthwest
(45,319 posts)Obviously she had a use for them.
Henhouse
(646 posts)You believe that gives the Sanders' campaign and excuse to insult her....or that she is somehow asking for it?
Bluenorthwest
(45,319 posts)I've never once had a text from any campaign because I do not let them text me. It's my choice.
Henhouse
(646 posts)Why should she have to opt out? Wouldn't it be easier for the Sanders' campaign to spend more time training and supervising their volunteers so texts like this do not get disseminated far and wide?
Henhouse
(646 posts)So, if she didn't want to be harrassed by Andrew she shouldn't have put herself out there....?

(646 posts)Girl outta be able to sign up for texts from the Dem. Party without having to put up with Andrew's smart mouth.
Obviously this is mild on the scale of things. What I find illuminating is the Sanders people who are defending his text. Thought you would have go with the "Brockoli plant" angle.
Oh well.....
PowerToThePeople
(9,610 posts)She signed up for Bermie texts.
She is either forgetful, a liar, or possibly someone signed her up as a joke.
Why doesn't she just unsubscribe and solve the issue?
Took her longer to rant about it online than to solve the issue. That sounds like someone with a motive that is not pure.
