2. This is always a tough position for a campaign to deal with. They have been invested for a year.

3. I want to see him go out on a high note

As much as I wanted him to be the nominee, I don't see any point in continuing after everyone has voted if he is still behind significantly.

I think he will have more influence now than he will if he stays in until July. He can concede and suspend his campaign without releasing his delegates, and can still seek the nomination if Hillary is unable to be nominated for whatever reason.

In the meantime, he can use his stature to help get more downballot progressives elected.

I am afraid if he takes it to the convention he will be relegated to a Kucinich like figure.

I think both Kucinich and Nader lost influence after they lost elections.

This whole cycle I have wondered if Sanders would be a Kucinich or an Obama.

I think that both Obama and Sanders struck a chord with young voters. But once POC thought Obama had a chance to win, they supported Obama and propelled him into the White House. I don't think Sanders has won the majority of POC away from Clinton. He needed them to win the Democratic primary.
