I have been seeing goodbye's and other comments about no more debates. What does it all mean and when is the cut-off?

There are going to be some changes to DU. Those will happen when the admins of the site decide to implement them.

Otherwise, people who have used DU for years and who believe that civil discussion is valuable will still be here posting as usual.
