They may have disagreements with Democrats, but most understood that for democracy to work , there had to be some give and take. They aren't just repudiating Trump, they are repudiating today's GOP. I see it as a good thing.

Having Secretary Clinton gather these endorsements is a good thing. Despite the fond wishes of some DU posters, the nation's political complexion isn't 95% left-liberal and awaiting the arrival of a super-progressive savior; there are a LOT of other voters with more moderate opinions in the national electorate. Gathering these Republicans' endorsements not only broadens Hillary's appeal to older-style Republicans, it helps paint the Donald into a corner with politicized Apocalyptic Christians, Clive Bundy fans, militant gay-bashers, gold-hoarders, xenophobes, white supremacists, and other pathogenic political strands that have made a home in today's Republican Party.

I wrote it because I lost my belief that the Republican Party had the ability to govern justly or competently. That belief went into critical care during the second half of GHW Bush's presidency and died during Buckaroo Bush's tenure.

If some DU purists want to believe that doesn't make me a "true Democrat," that's their psychosis.

the more announcements of that kind before the repub convention, the greater the groundswell for pulling the rug out from under Trump and finding someone else to nominate (even if it causes the Trump crazies to go, well, crazy).
