Newt, potential VP pick, suggests Trump's candidacy may not be "alive" in October.

Doesn't sound like much of a vote of confidence. What a wonderful surrogate Newt would be!

"Everything the Clinton campaign is doing to suppress Trump will, in the short run, suppress Trump — because he's not trying," the former speaker of the House said.

"The thing she's got to worry about is if he is still alive as a candidate on the first of October," Gingrich continued.

3. +1, and his stupid campaign is still stuck on the primaries as of last week he continues to say

... he did well in the primaries without spending a dime mostly because he ran against 100% losers and tRump is most likely a 99% loser.

He doesn't understand there's zero dollars for the GOP floor of 40% of the electorate but he has to pay 500 million for the other 9% of voters.

Jus... jus a half time show those guys are

And what, exactly, is the Clinton campaign doing to "suppress Trump"? Is Trump even suppressible?

5. This is important to hear. Newt has insider access to rumors, plans,

theories, and gop hopes.

I think Hillary ought to focus less on Trump's every tweet and blunder and instead always tie him to typical GOP tactics and policies. She needs to tear down the GOP brand as much or more as she tears down Trump's brand. I think it's advisable to be ready for ANY GOP candidate and for ANY public face the ticket might try to show. This helps with down ballot elections too. And it should be easy for any dem leader to ridicule and expose the horrendous GOP record.

Because what insider Newt is saying is a real possibility: Trump isn't trying BECAUSE he's not going to be the nominee in October. This makes sense to me...more so than Trump isn't trying because he's keeping his power dry, for now.

I seriously doubt the GOP wants this theory discussed very much, but Newt is Newt and he can't help himself.

Trump starts "trying." This doesn't have to be a complete dismissal, and it's very likely that the demand for Newt's brand is in need of a boost.

Perhaps he and Trump could work out an enhanced plan for how to milk this for profit. Two brains are... Whoops. Wrong adage.
