Wow, Herr Trump is really quadrupling down on his strong man shtick.

It always rubbed me the wrong way when Republicans acted like they had a monopoly on virtue, on morality, on patriotism, et cetera. They have turned all of them into refuges of scoundrels.

All I know is as a liberal I don't countenance violence, not against cops, not against innocent Muslims, not against innocents of any race, creed, or national origin.

I defer to nobody in giving bad guys who prey on the vulnerable and innocent no quarter but let's make sure our wrath is focused on the bad guys.

Her campaign calls this latest, very powerful one "Role Models," and it's already been written up as a likely phenomenon in major media (as inadvertently evidenced by an entire article in the very conservative The Federalist devoted to explaining why "this tired approach fails&quot . Joe and Mika are just referring to it familiarly as "the kid ad." For good reason--it's airing on their breaks.

From Crooks and Liars:
"According to the Washington Post, this ad will be part of a $10.5 mil ad buy that will play heavily throughout the swing states (states like Virginia, Ohio, Colorado, New Hampshire, Iowa, Florida, Nevada and North Carolina). It should. As an early sign of its effectiveness, it's getting wide play on both the left and right wing sites, garnering many dislikes from the assholes on the right."
