Or using it for partisan purposes where he gives away an active investigation exposing the CIA and FBI. He has no filter so I see him passing it on to his head campaign manager who has Russian ties. Then we can call that treason.

name before the convention, it occurs to me that WE CANNOT allow this man anywhere near the nuclear codes. The actual author of Trump's first book, who was with him all day long for over a year, is terrified of what he suspects would inevitably happen.

There's something small about a person admitting: " he never forgets being slighted and delights in paybacks."

She rose quickly in financial circles. Then when he needed a loan he asked her to pull some strings with the bank. She told him she couldn't do that. He wrote scathing references for her for prospective employers, delighted when her marriage failed, she lost her home and said he never misses a chance to trash her to this day. She wasn't "loyal", he said.

It's great sometimes to have real life examples of people who act with true class & character. Easy to contrast when you know what the opposite acts, looks, sounds like.

they are watered down considerably. Sec'y Clinton gets them also; Paulie Ryan tried to stop them being given to her, the watered down version as well as the more detailed once she has the nomination. Whoever wins the General Election, gets the full briefings.

if you read my response to your initial question, you read where I stated the briefings are watered down. Once Sec'y Clinton and Trump receive the nomination, the briefings get turned up a notch; then, when victorious on GE day, the briefings go full boar

But a president and their national security team, which includes the SoS, has a unique clearance level designated "Yankee White". Like all classified information it's still "need to know" but technically gives that person unlimited access to all relevant information, regardless of agency ownership or sensitivity.
It also expires when they leave office.

Not sure if HRC still carries a clearance of another level but once elected president, it will return to Yankee White.

I doubt he is getting anything but a very cursory amount of Intel.

The intelligence community takes their jobs VERY seriously and he is still just a candidate.

He needs to take the security oath before they'll copy him on everything the President gets and to my knowledge, that oath taking does not happen until he is the President Elect

Once a person becomes their Party nominee, they will get the same national security briefing every morning that the president does.
It was made mandatory years ago to help who ever is elected to be up to speed when they take office.

I had typed out an argument to the contrary, but thought I should do a bit of digging so I didn't talk out of my ass.

You are correct to a degree, but the article linked below indicates the briefings slowly ramp up as far as depth of information is concerned. Just because he is the presumptive nominee does not mean he is copied on everything the president gets right away. It scales up and AFTER the election is when it goes full bore, so to speak

http://www.faqs.org/espionage/Pa-Po/Politics-the-Briefings-of-United-States-Presidential-Candidates.html

But fair enough. My position as stated in my posts above were incorrect
