Why I don't feel one bit sorry for Melania Trump

Last edited Tue Jul 19, 2016, 04:53 PM - Edit history (1)

Up until she spoke, the media had nothing but praise for her, and her ability to speak 4 languages and on and on, when she was nothing more than just a pretty face married to a disgusting liar who has no problem cheating innocent people.

Her job was to introduce herself as the potential next first lady and to humanize herself, as well as her husband. In other words, to perpetrate a fraud on the American public and convince them that they were both something that they obviously were not. He who we have come to know as someone who is not beyond using whatever means necessary to separate an unsuspecting public from their money. For her to have plagiarized the part of her speech which related to the values her family 'supposedly' passed on to her, thereby portraying herself as a fraud is unforgivable. She wasn't asked to write the Gettysburg Address; she was supposed to introduce herself to America, and she lied and said that she wrote something that she didn't. This makes her a liar just like her lying husband, who in every speech he gives, calls Hillary a liar and a cheat. So when you live by the sword, you perish by the sword.

Also, in speaking about her own coming to America and obtaining her U.S. citizenship, she was able to accomplish what many people in the world dream for themselves and for their children, only she was able to accomplish this by moving to the head of the line with the assistance of her billionaire husband. A husband who BTW lies about anything and everything, everytime he opens his mouth and speaks. And for those who say that she never asked to be in this role, well this is the bargain she made with the devil, in exchange for being able to have the lifestyle for which her husband provided in exchange for helping him get the thing that he aspired to , the Presidency of the United States of America. Life has trade offs, and Melania had a choice. Just like she chose last week not to attend the announcement by her husband's choice of his VP because she had a falling out with her step-children over them forcing a choice for VP on their day whom he obviously did not want.

If this had been the other way around and it was Michelle Obama who was guilty of trying to pass off something as her own, which wasn't, the GOP would be ready to run the entire family out of town. Instead everyone wants to find someone, anyone, to blame for this mess, other than the person who is primarily responsible for attempting to perpetrate a fraud on a gullible public who wanted so badly to believe that the beautiful woman on the stage, with the creamy colored skin was better than the people who were currently occupying the White House, and was the answer to all their prayers to Make America Great Again. And she turned out to be just as much of a fraud as her lying husband.

Her husband who BTW, is the most unqualified person to every seek the office of the Presidency of the United States and the GOP knows this, and should he win in November would have the power to wreak havoc on not only this country but the entire world. And his voters could care less, and for that reason, I could care less for any humiliation this has caused her.

Initially I was like wow...who set up poor Melania like this. But as this thing has gone on and knowing that Michelle Obama would've been crucified if she had done the same, my sympathy is a bit less. I mean there's so much mental gymnastics going on in trying to absolve this woman of any wrongdoing. Deep down I think we all know she didn't write the speech, but then you have her interview with Matt Lauer saying she wrote it with as little help as possible. So you can't have it both ways and if she was any kind of independent person she would herself get out in front of this and say what happened. The excuses that some are coming up with now in terms of "My Little Pony" and the rest are ridiculous.

It is a complete disaster but its what the GOP deserves.

She was dragged into this by her husband and she said she never wanted to speak.

So, yes, I do have some sympathy.

She married a real estate guy who allowed her to remain pretty and clueless. Not something most would choose, but she has the right to do that. It's her life.

Then, all of a sudden, she has to step into the brutal arena of politics and make speeches she's not qualified to make.

You might as well have asked a toy poodle to defend you from a bear attack.

The fact that Melania is not getting the lion's share of the blame is a little insulting to her. The media is viewing her as incapable and dismissing her as a child.

People are right that Michelle would have been held to a higher standard, but that's because Michelle has degrees from Princeton and Harvard and is accomplished in her career.

One is a lawyer trained at Princeton and Harvard, the other is a college dropout from The U of Slovenia. I guess they get treated accordingly.

away with anything and people would still vote for him.

Then, why didn't he just let his wife just talk off the cuff like he does?

He doesn't respect her or trust her with his franchise...that is obvious.
