all with high approval ratings. Not to mention a former First Lady who will make the first acceptance speech for the nomination of a major party as President of the United States

Democrats knocked it out of the park in last 2 Conventions in 2008 and 2012 and I expect this to be a historical event in so many ways

I'm really looking forward to the President's speech. You don't see a 2nd term popular President get to take a victory lap very often-should be very emotional

Some of which they wrote themselves.

They even had Joni (Ernst) and Chachi! Score!

They don't need any presidents; having them would just take some of the spotlight off of the head orange narcissist and his spawn.

Why don't the Bushes/Cheney want to show up at Trump's coronation? We will happily have Carter, Clinton, and Obama at ours!

Not sure who dis-inivited who, but obviously the R party can't allow the public to remember who was in charge 16-8 years ago. Reminds me of the Russian Politiboro when they erased their leadership from recent Russian history.

As for the Bushes, I do understand their disgust and anger. I dislike everything about them, but at least they understand what a government IS, even Idiot Son.

Both Barbara and Poppy are really frail now, and the event would be arduous. She uses a walker and he's in a wheelchair and looks out of it. They have a ready made excuse for their absence.

Jeb and Dubya are just pissed off, and who the hell needs the humiliation Trump dishes out?

The Democrats, otoh....
