Christie Reacts To Cruz RNC Disaster: It Was An 'Awful, Selfish Speech'

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie slammed Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)'s non-endorsement of his party's nominee Wednesday night on the Republican National Convention floor as an "awful, selfish speech."

Christie knows what it's like to admit defeat, as he did when he dropped his presidential bid and again when Indiana Gov. Mike Pence (R) was announced as Trump's running mate over him.

“It was an awful, selfish speech by someone who tonight, through the words he said on that stage, showed everybody why he has richly earned the reputation that he has on Capitol Hill,” Christie said, as quoted by Politico.

Cruz still seemed to be a bit bitter about his own failed run for the White House during his speech at the convention. The address culminated in escalating boos from the crowd and C-SPAN cameras panned away to Trump entering the arena for the final few moments of Cruz's speech. Cruz's wife, Heidi, was escorted by security out of the room because of the rowdy crowd.

Go grab a gun and shoot Cruz. You're a white conservative male so you can rest assured there will be no consequences, especially since Ted is obviously just a commie plant.

Go on - do it!

Say what you want about Ted Cruz leading up to tonight's speech, but he earned my respect by refusing to be a yes man for Donald Trump. By contrast, Christie's mock trial display was a sickening display of totalitarian propaganda.
