1. That's one of the points that the DNC needs to assail repeatedly.

The convention should, among others, hit on these two themes:

1) Despite what the GOP says, Americans aren't angry. Don't give into fear. Like Hubert Humphrey said "You can't vote your hates; you have to vote your hopes".

2) If they want to be the "law and order" campaign so bad, then why aren't they for sensible gun reforms? If crime is so rampant, why has the crime rate dropped under Obama?
