Tim Kaine is expected at a R.I. fundraiser tonight, and at a Nantucket event tomorrow.

But of course he could always cancel those events and turn up in Florida. Who knows?

Hillary sure knows how to build up anticipation.

Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine, considered the front-runner to be Hillary Rodham Clinton’s choice for vice president, is headed to Rhode Island on Friday, his spokeswoman confirmed.

Kaine was in Boston for a noon fundraiser. He was expected to join Rhode Island Sen. Jack Reed, a fellow Democrat on the Senate Armed Services Committee, for a Reed fund-raiser in Rhode Island on Friday evening, according to Reed's spokesman, Chip Unruh.

When CNN asked him about the vice presidency at Logan Airport, Kaine said, “No news to report.”

The Boston Globe reported the Kaine is scheduled to be on Nantucket on Saturday at the Chanticleer Garden for a 5:30 pm reception.

1. I could be wrong, but I'm inclined to believe it will be a "dark horse," someone unexpected.

Maybe someone's name who was overlooked by the media but is still eminently qualified for the position.

11. I hope you're right but I realized why she might NOT want to pick a progressive:

If she does and she wins, people could say it was because of the progressive, and therefore imply she has to govern more progressively.

By contrast, if she picks a "centrist," to supposedly appeal to swing voters, she can act as if she owes nothing to progressives, and say she needs to govern to the "middle" because that's where her support came from, much as Obama said at the beginning of his presidency he had to be president of ALL the people, which meant start his proposals at least half conservative.

Something conservatives never do no matter how slim or even questionable their wins are.

Bill Kristol think's it's between Stavridis and Kaine. Wait. If this idiot thinks that then probably opposite is true.
