Fox News is worse than I ever thought.

First I'm going to say that this isn't me saying that ALL Rrepublicans are stupid. Some do, I'm certain, have quite high IQ's.

However.

I've spent the past week monitoring Fox News, so I could compare. I've come to the conclusion that the Republicans tilt their news to easily manipulated, unable to follow a bouncing ball much less have an independent thought Americans. The way the "reporters" foam at the mouth as they wax poetic about Trump is nauseating. I think Hannity really wants to burrow inside of him.

I admit I only watched in spits and spurts- I was comparing it to CNN And MSNBC- but I could only take so much of the insanity that was happening on Fox. Anytime my head stared throbbing I had to change the channel.

The best example of just how out of whack their coverage is in comparison happened in the aftermath of Melania Stealing from Michelle Obama.

I first saw the story on MSNBC. turned the channel, CNN had it as well.

Forty. Minutes. Later

Fox still didn't have it. Instead, they were bringing out the mothers who had spoken against Hillary. Everyone talked about how great trump is and his stupid wall and blah blah blah.

I was incredulous. I knew they'd spin it, but not reporting at all?

At around the hour mark, something was finally said. And it was completely downplayed and may have been on air for 50 seconds.

Back on CNN and MSNBC, the reporters and talking heads were all over it. Not so on Fox.

It's how they keep the people stupid. The way they praised Donald and that RNC shit show every night was UNREAL. it's like Jesus himself is running. They don't fact check at all. They just flat out say he's awesome and wow what a revelation his acceptance speech was. So presidential!

Um. That speech was abysmal. It was fear, fear, fear. Dark. Crazy. Negative.

Over on fox, they said he spoke the truth and Hillary was probably shaking in her shoes.

On CNN and MSNBC, they were talking about how over the top negative it was.
(Except Tweety, who seemed to think it was the battle hymn of the republic)

my takeaway from this experiment is that i firmly believe fox is around to keep a certain section of people uninformed. Period.

And those people tend to be not the brightest bulbs.

The amount of shit I've seen on FB this week has been staggering. Without fail, when I ask what fucking news they're watching.... They say fox.

😡

Worse, when I tell them Fox isn't really news they respond that they don't watch the other channels because they're biased.

😳😳😳😳

Jesus. These people need to break free of their toxic little bubbles. The shit they believe is so insane I can barely keep myself from going off.

I knew going in that Fox was bad. I've watched a few seconds here and there before (as much as I can stand. I literally hate all of the on air talent. There isn't even ONE I think is watchable). This is the first time I've watched consistently and paid attention. And the takeaway is that they're fucking out of their minds to call themselves a "news" channel.

The second someone tells you they watch Fox, write them off. Their heads are filled with pure garbage. Some of it damn well felt like propaganda.

I know. This is what they do. Not dissing your post but you really are late to the game if you are just now realizing how bad they are in every way.

They are totally dishonest in every possible way from calling themselves "fair & balanced", a lie, America's News Headquarters, a lie, America's Election Headquarters, a lie.

If you spent that much time, you had to notice a continuous 24 hour drumbeat lying & spinning everything against Dems, Clinton, Obama, Climate Change, Blacks, etc. Now they spin a lot of time attacking BLM.

If you want to know what they are doing, just go to Media Matters who keeps an eye on them so you don't have to do what you did.

All that said, I really would suggest you get some counseling now because that much time with fox can do damage to you.

Don't do that again, bad for your health.

just to catch the mispronunciations and marvel at how so many stupid people got high-paying jobs in the media.

Just a few examples:

"Westmin-i-ster Dog Show"
"In-FAN-cy"
Micah Johnson pronounced "Mika"

All that said, Shep Smith is still my anchor-of-choice for breaking news. He can present things clearly, and explain how and why we can know things, which things are unconfirmed rumors, and how and why we can know certain things are not true. I sure can't figure out why he stays at Fox.

Fox is good at it. They use hate and fear, they repeat it over and over and over, and pretty soon those who listen start buying into their hype. High control religions, and cults, do the same thing. First they make it all about their views being he ONLY truth, and everybody else lies. Then they use the tactic of it's all about "US vs THEM". They tell you they are the only way you are going to be saved, and the other news, or religions are lying to you. Pretty soon your are convinced they are the only ones you can believe, and then they have you hooked.

Many people have high IQ's who buy into this kind of brainwashing, be it a religion, or their source of news. Once you are hooked it's like an addiction, and it's very hard to break that addiction.

Finally the old man got too weak to object and we went to Comedy Central and laughed
I think that extended his life a few weeks, even caught him chuckling a time or two.

on the flip side, CNN and Fox were busy reporting on the Germany attack yesterday while MSNBC stayed on a Clinton rally speech for over an hour.

Lots of free air time for her, and I'm sure we won't see much about the DNC Wikileaks stuff on MSNBC.

It's obvious, MSNBC is in support of the Democratic Party, and in particular the establishment. Fox is in favor of the Republican Party. They both do things to help the party out, and pander to their viewers, whom support each party generally.

Nothing new there really, been going on for years.

It is what they choose to report and what they don't. It is in how they slant what they do report.

And it is sometimes manufactured "facts".

People who rely on it and or Rush etc are in the bubble firmly believing facts that in fact are not real facts.

And here we are. Sad.
