Despite the anger, don't Americans still prefer a positive messsage

over the trash-talking, hate-mongering negativism of the Trump campaign?

I just think the message delivered by Clinton/Kaine today will actually hit Americans where they live. We love our country and want to be proud. We do not want to believe it is in decline and we do not want to live in fear.

This, to me, may be one of the most important messages of the campaign and one I think they should continue to push hard. Tim Kaine made me swell w/ pride today. I do not believe Trump has done that for anyone listening to his diatribe, including his supporters.

They do. And according to the polls, they also aren't rabidly anti-trade. CrowCityDem Jul 2016 #2

But they also want to feel that their concerns and issues are being heard and acknowledged. There are huge economic issues, there are many people who have been left behind over the last 30 years. There is a reason so many embraced Bernie's message. If the message from Dems is everything is peachy keen that's not a good way to go.

all is well, but I just don't think voters respond well to gloom and doom. Kaine was inspiring and uplifting today - a message we should support and continue.

Most of it has to do with anger at the folks the haters sent to Washington to undermine President Obama. They were supposed to squash him like an ant. They didn't succeed despite obstructing many of his attempted policies. Thus, the anger is thick among them.

I smile when I hear Trump and others complain about Washington and the crooks and government failure. Look who is in charge in Washington.
