There's your headline of the day, MSM.
MSNBC breezed over the subject for about 5 seconds.

(6,551 posts)As they should. This is a bombshell with enough evidence to make the charge.

(58,785 posts)the Putin was able to manipulate the GOP into adding a "Putin's plank" to its platform can't be ignored.

(4,310 posts)After all, if it was just about how little taxes he may or may not pay, that would be a favorable point of his awesome business acumen. But if it was ties to foreign - Russian - monies...
I guess we'll never know eh

(12,412 posts)This is going to be an enormous blow to Trump. His so called self proclaimed self financed campaign bullshit will be opened up like a can of worms. His remarks regarding NATO allies in Eastern Europe will have a new meaning and his opposition will have plenty of ammunition to brand him a TRAITOR.

(5,611 posts)All of Trump's incredible azz-kissing of Putin points to this (alleged!) ugly entanglement with unsavory figures in Russia's economic network. The fact that the oh-so "noble" wikileaks released these emails specifically (which to me are not shocking unless one lives in a fantasy world in which the DNC or the RNC are entities whose members don't have explicit political beliefs and/or don't support certain candidates over others) shows they are helping Trump. Full stop. It doesn't help Bernie; it helps Trump. Sorry but it is obviously the case.
Why didn't "noble" wikileaks release anything RNC-related if they are so concerned about the fairness of the political process? Any emails from the Trump camp re how to deal with Ben Carson or Ted Cruz? Um, because the republicans that comprise the RNC are so noble that they never, ever, ever exchanged emails about how to defeat Trump?! Yeah...riiiiight. Wikileaks has done nothing here but HELP TRUMP by giving Faux and CNN and others gossipy ammo to go over endlessly just as the convention is starting. This is all that Faux News is discussing. CNN is repeating the same Trump talking points as well "It's all rigged! Hillary's a crook!"
It is frankly disgusting, and anybody who thinks that wikileaks supports noble causes and is comprised of anything other than rogue, self-serving trolls is deluding themselves.

(5,754 posts)I think they are waiting to see if anyone can refute the story, and it that doesn't happen in the next day or so, they will go big with it, DURING THE CONVENTION. In any case, it looks like Russia lends him a lot of money, and can probably recall the loans at any time. That's enough for me.

(34,845 posts)It was Meredith McIver who was in contact with the Russian mob. She will be issuing a written apology and another resignation letter soon.
