2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumI can't watch this mess, and I'm angry
I can't watch this convention. This is a sh#tshow and it's Bernie Sanders supporters' fault. I think this election is lost. Enjoy Trump you privilege fukers!
These folks were NEVER democrats, they were never pro-Bernie, they were ALWAYS just anti-Hillary!
I am disgusted, just handing the narrative to Trump to ride. I'm done.
Rant over...

(5,737 posts)But PLEASE don;t give up on November. Show up and vote for Hillary. Those clowns acting like that wouldn't have voted for Sanders wither. That kind doesn't vote in elections.

(42,862 posts)PS: What political revolution? There was no revolution. That's why Hillary is our nominee.

(15,805 posts)What do you think this rancor is going to look like as it gets replayed ad infinitum for the next week? Don't think the Republicans aren't salivating to put video clips of this division in their next run of anti-Hillary political ads. How are voters going to react when they hear people they think are fellow Democrats booing our nominee?

(65,173 posts)The majority are respectful and Sanders speaking tonight will help. I just don't agree with you.
procon
(15,805 posts)that will make the news. Whatever nice words that were said today has been shouted down and overshadowed by the images of Sanders supporters booing everything from Sanders himself, to Elijah Cummings, to even the mention of Hillary's name. Its hard to see past all that to see glimmers of someone in that lot being respectful, yeah?

(65,173 posts)We are going to have a good convention and people won't worry about it in the end. Most Sanders supporters want to defeat Trump and it won't be the shouting down that will be remembered.

(1,495 posts)Was just mental masturbation. Felt good, but wouldn't accomplish anything in the end. Even if Sanders was President, he wouldn't have gotten anything done like healthcare or education. His "supporters" would have turned on him.

(65,173 posts)I am very happy he didn't get something like 4% and be marginalized. This was a big deal and gives us leverage. Hillary has even gone to the left recently on health care and college loans.

(1,048 posts)But I truly do not believe that in the end it will be enough to put Trump over the top. I believe most Sanders supporters have come over but lets be honest...we all knew there were going to be some die hards who wouldn't.

I really feel for them.

(21,086 posts)convention and scream, "Lock her up!" is completely unacceptable. True colors all the way. And after all this handwringing over the past couple of days over staff emails that NEVER included the name or referenced either DWS or Hillary Clinton--this is an absolute slap in the face. WHo are the real facists? THESE people are.
The self identified Bernie Supporters of any ilk may have had their fun but no more...this has made people incredibly angry.
I know now that I made the right choice by supporting and voting for Clinton and I will NEVER trust another set of Sanders radicals again. Disgusting and deplorable.

(19,808 posts)We saw this in Seattle, people who want to protest and bomb throwers, fire setters.
They are giving that fat repulsive bastard everything he wants
I am so pissed I have a headache.

(1,353 posts)Sorry...but we saw this coming from this board...these nasty immature non dems fired up from Bernie all along and he took such a long time to come around and really did nothing to stop this awful disrespectful behavior.
I can only hope this ugly energy forms into a positive one...either by Bernie uniting them or just have them go home...
Thanks Bernie idiots for giving the Dem party a bad name...

(11,605 posts)Wow, you must have a crystal ball. Last I checked elections are won or lost when people vote. But if you are ready to give up so soon after getting Hillary nominated I guess you weren't much of a supporter to begin with.
With supporters like you does she even need holdout Bernie or Busters or Trumpsters to bring her down?
lancer78
(1,495 posts)is that Bernie could never have been a leader because he has lost control over his "supporters".
