IMO there is no building up of Clinton, they need to tear down Trump

So far I have heard little Trump bashing, more trying to tell us how great Hillary is and how she is with "us". I don't think that is winning strategy. Rightly or wrongly Clinton is very well known figure with strong feelings one way or the other. Nothing that is said in this convention or subsequent campaigning is going to convince people to change their minds.

I was skeptical Obama supporter in '12, but his campaigning won me over because it had less to do with Obama but more about Romney. That campaign perfectly showed Romney as billionaire who was with the 1%, and didn't give a shit about you even if you were white working class male.

They need to do the same with Trump. His bigotry is well known. But they need to really hit him on failed business, scams, and how incompetent he is. His whole image is how great of businessman he is, but he is the biggest loser and pretender there is. They should just spend 80% of their efforts on him tearing him down on this point. No one likes scam artist and pretenders.

Instead of focusing on Mr. Trump.
Sell the product, the brand. Convince voters why they should vote FOR the candidate.

You have to work with what you have. You may find Clinton as the greatest thing since sliced bread, but when politician has horrible unfavorables/trust issues, you can't win on policy. Its just a losing strategy.

You need to give people something to vote for, not tell them why they shouldn't vote for the other guy.

Use the Karl Rove strategy of attacking your opponents' presumed strong points.
