It's interesting (and welcome, IMO) how Clinton's team suddenly wants Bernie to have lots of exposure. They switched around the schedule last night so his speech would get more attention, and now they want him involved tonight too. As a Bernie supporter I am very glad to see this. Even though I am embarrassed by some of the crazier delegates and protestors, I am glad Bernie and his message are being heard loud and clear.
The Vermont senator plans to be in the Wells Fargo Arena as the state roll call tallies are announced, a critical moment that his supporters see as one of their final ways to be heard before Clinton officially makes history as the first female presidential nominee.
Still uncertain is whether Sanders himself will be the one to make the formal request that Clinton be the partys White House nominee by acclimation. If he did, it would be symbolism of the highest order, a repeat performance from 2008 when Clinton buried her primary season anger and officially entered Barack Obamas name for the top of the ticket.
"That may well be the case, Sanders told reporters Tuesday morning when asked if Clinton could ultimately get the unanimous support of Democratic delegates. His hint, however, didnt touch on whether hed be the person to formally give the nod to Clinton, who will remain at her home in Chappaqua, New York.

(375 posts)Will the delegates willingly vote for Hillary? This might even surprise Bernie. I know the whips have been working hard for commitment.

Trump is tying to gather Bernie-or-Busters (none of whom can stomach Trump if those I have met are any indication) and Trump will use the leaked DNC emails to falsely claim the primary process was illegitimate. Sanders saying the primary was fully legitimate is a powerful rebuttal to Trump's phony argument.
