if she was blackmailed into canceling an emergency dental procedure and doing this unpleasant duty instead?

All the delegations are proud and happy to be able to make their personal statements. This is wonderful. We should always poll -- and the secretary should also look proud and pleased at the procedure itself as befits this very special process.

Marcia Fudge would have done very well, even without smiling. She notably would have stood up straight and given it the high-minded dignity this important event deserves.

Well, Bernie just took over. He did it right.

Right now being the center of attention this isn't her job. Also, her name is Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, and she's the mayor of Baltimore.
