somebody help me out with the 30,000 3-mail thing.

What 30,000 e-mails are they talking about? And why are they all convoluted with the DNC hacking?

And why does no pundit point out the e-mails deleted by Cheney and Bush folks, or the fact that some Dem Congressmen have private e-mail systems that you know damn well contain some sensitive information?

And why is no one talking about how Wilkileaks is not keeping democracy transparent but actually doing much more harm to our nation and our national security as they seemingly devolved into an arm of the GOP smear machine. I have always been a fan of Wikileaks but I don't like what seems to be happening now. It seems as though they are protecting the GOP and trying usher in Trump.

What am I missing?

The FBI says they recovered all the personal emails from her server. Donald Trump claims they are not out there. But somewhere on the intertubes there are 30K emails discussing Chelsea's wedding, yoga class etal.............

to Hillary's email. Trump won the primaries by not letting his opponents get the typical time on nightly news. He didn't care if what he did/said was a negative for him - it still kept HIM on the news instead of his opponents.

He's (likely) referring to Hillary's private emails that weren't turned over. But it doesn't matter. He just wanted to get the attention that the convention would have received otherwise. If it wasn't that it would have been something else.

... are too clueless to recognize that Hillary's email non-scandal and the DNC email non-scandal are not the same non-scandal.

And those folks will be "concerned about these emails".

She turned over the 30k work related ones and deleted the 30k personal ones. This isn't a GOP claim its something she openly did. She was completely within her rights to do so. Even if she had used a government email it is up to the person to determine what is and isn't required to keep for government record keeping.

There is no connection to the DNC email leak other than Trump making the comment that he wishes the Russians would hack Hillary too and find the deleted emails. As far as anyone was able to determine no outside actors gained access to Clinton's private email server.

Anybody who confronts Wikileaks risks having their 3rd grade report card posted on the internet, along with everything else about them.

They are trying to claim she got rid of evidence. So following the logical outcome if they really believe that the emails contained national security information then Don the Con just tried to get the Russians to hack national security.

which they deleted and which is completely within State Dept regulations.

Trump and the GOP are desperately grasping for anything to bash her with... even if completely bogus.

People did criticize the Bush WH for their email fiasco. Including Hillary. That led to changes in governmental policy and rules regarding electronic copy preservation and why no one should have been employing the same thing when Obama took office.

It should have been pursued against the Bush administration for subverting open records and destroying years of records. Even though the government's position was a lot looser at that time. Democrats certainly could have been more ardent in pressing for more accountability of the matter, but you'd have to ask leadership why they did little in pursuing the matter. I would imagine the fact that there was no longer any means to recover the data meant there wasn't much more that could be easily investigated. It did lead to more stringent policies going forward, and why it was a bit dumbfounding anyone would copy the use of a private server and email after that.

How is the DNC hack a national security threat? There shouldn't be any mention of classified information pertaining to national security on the DNC's private email system and servers.

Embarrassing, maybe, but anyone should follow the rule when using work email: if you can't stand behind the content of the message if your boss or anyone else were to read it, it doesn't belong in a work email.

You've said you've been a fan of WikiLeaks and transparency previously, so maybe it isn't them you're upset with? If there isn't anything to leak, there's nothing to fuel the story.

Reid admitted that everyone knew what was going on, and yet leadership, including him, didn't step in and put an end to it. That's a problem that better leadership could have and should have headed off and kept from it turning into a story from the start.

After bashing Trump, he went to Hillary

A complete record may yet exist that Mrs. Clinton doesn’t know about. Hackers may have broken into her server—Mr. Comey seemed to suggest it was highly likely. Before or after she takes the oath, foreign agencies may begin posting unredacted versions of the censored emails the State Department has been publishing. They may post nonpersonal “personal” emails the State Department has never seen. They may post fake “deleted” emails that Mrs. Clinton would be unable to prove are fake.

to be done about it. I just wonder if and when some hackers will hack into Trumps information...that isn't already on Twitter. I imagine his children's e-mail accounts would yield a mountain of information that would not be great for him.

Whatever Hillary's additional e-mails turn up, unless she promised to turn over the country to Putin once she is elected, I really won't change my mind about not voting for Trump or any third party candidate.

Also, I really thing people should be more angry about the potential for having their own personal accounts attacked from credit records to bank accounts. No one seem to hold the hackers responsible for criminal activity. It will take a decent, concerned hacker to put themselves out of business but I don't think that will happen.
