Any "shame" felt would be quickly compartmentalized away, but most likely have already dismissed the entire convention as cynical lies: Democrats do not believe in morality, freedom, family values, the constitution. Let's just hope it'll work on conservatives who know they don't want Trump but are having trouble taking the enormous step of not voting for the Republican candidate, or even of voting for a Democrat.
