The Khizr Khan speech is just going to enrage Trumpkins because somewhere inside, it made them ashamed.

Lotta truth in that.

actual Trumpsters. Any "shame" felt would be quickly compartmentalized away, but most likely have already dismissed the entire convention as cynical lies: Democrats do not believe in morality, freedom, family values, the constitution. They know that the way we know Ann Coulter is a dishonest sleazebag.

Let's just hope it'll work on conservatives who know they don't want Trump but are having trouble taking the enormous step of not voting for the Republican candidate, or even of voting for a Democrat.

Mr. Khan, thank you for speaking so eloquently and powerfully about your American Experience. My hope is that your speech last night helps to restore sanity and faith in America because I feel the vast majority of American Muslims are faithful, hard working Americans. My heart feels for you and your family for the loss of your son. He is and was a true American hero.

There have been tweets from the right about conservatives crying because they were moved by the Democratic convention.

I'll give you one guess what got to them.

A thing like this simmers.

The only thing from this convention I made my husband watch was this speech. I know I am not alone.

but smart, decent people who somehow don't understand that conservative values are a myth are thinking post conventions.... it had to have been a difficult thing to vote for Bush the second time around and McCain/Palin must have been a stomach flipper - BUT RUMP??? That's like telling your kids and grand-kids you don't give a good goddamn about their lives going forward. I may be suffering from dementia but I just don't see how the majority of 'smart' Republicants can pull that lever for T-Rump & Pence, I honestly don't.

shows how far the republicans like those who would vote for someone like trump have fallen. To all those shouting about american values and character on the RW end of the political spectrum this American has put your hypocrisy on view for the entire world to finally understand. A vote for trump is a vote to turn this country over to the nazi party of america. May the sacrifice of this man's son not be in vain.
