The Clinton campaign set the most brilliant trap ever for the cheeto faced shitgibbon.

All they did was have Muslim Gold Star Parents speak from the stage of the Democratic National Convention.

They didn't approve the speech because there was no formally written speech. They simply let this family say whatever they wanted to say.

Then they simply sat back and let the witless fucking cocksplat do himself in like nobody else ever could.

They read the ferret wearing cockwomble like a book and then played him like a violin.

He acts just like one. Seriously.

The man who ghost-wrote dumdum's autobiography (more irony) described him as "a black hole" and "extremely damaged." (This was on Lawrence O'Donnell's program yesterday.) Unfortunately, he didn't continue because it's not as if dumdum was raised in an abusive family (to my knowledge), but something had to have screwed him up so badly that he's remained a spoiled, frightened little kid.

Not trying to psychoanalyze him-- I leave that to the professionals-- but I couldn't help wondering what made him what he is today.

...one of them would get this sort of reaction from Trump. A shoot-himself-in-the-foot reaction that would get a lot of people to turn on him. Mr. Khan's speech was the one that did it. But it could have been almost any other of those speakers. Like the Mothers of the Movement, or General Allen. It wasn't un-hoped-for, and therefore "planned," but that is was Mr. & Mrs. Khan's that did it was serendipity.

Though I will give Clinton's campaign this much credit for"setting a trap"--they put the Khans on the last night when the most people would be watching and waiting for Clinton. They were given a prime spot to say what they wanted to say. That, however, is as much to the DNC's integrity as to their calculation. Trump cast Muslims as the ultimate boogeyman in his scare-fest. It was only right that the Clinton's campaign give Muslims a chance--a really good chance--to counter all that.

And it is to the intergrity of the Clinton Campagin and the DNC that they let the Khans express their message their way. Mr. & Mrs. Khan--like their son, God rest him--have risked a lot to save us all.

I hope and hope and hope, but he is aiming for a very slim alley to win, and it is completely out of our hands except for gotv efforts.

He is clearly banking on turning out enough haters, most of whom don't vote very often, to push him over the top in electoral college votes. To do that he has to run the table on a few states usually in the d column.

Dems have zero chance to swing those voters. If they vote, it will only be for Trump. The only chance is to demotivate them (unlikely) and gotv.

Mrs. Khan is a Gold Star Mother. And he starts picking on her. He had the gall to claim HE'S made sacrifices too????????

The Khans have made a bigger sacrifice than Donald Trump can ever even conceive in his little pea-sized lizard brain. Tony Schwartz, who ghost-wrote "The Art of the Deal", has described him as a "very damaged" human being, indeed, literally "a black hole."

On edit - I'm watching Mr. Khan emotionally defending his wife on CNN's "State of the Union" as I write this. He goes further - saying Trump has "a black soul."

BOTH he and Tony Schwartz just nail it. And nail it. And nail it. And KEEP nailing it.

If Trump had just ignored the speech & not said anything, it wouldn't have had 1/10 the impact it's having now. However, by Trump's childish, narcissistic, and arrogant responses to it, it's is reinforcing the perception that Trump is a thin-skinned bigot who doesn't possess the temperament necessary to be president--just like the 47% speech reinforced the perception that Romney was a completely out of touch, tone deaf 1%er.

It won't matter a whit to Trump's bigoted base, but I think this has sunk him with the undecided voters.
