from the "rape candidates" to "praying for america's destruction" — can the GOP maintain?

clearly, as echoed by republican strategists and conservative pundits over and over the past twelve or eighteen hours, the republican party has to reinvent itself in some way. the latino vote is now nationally decisive. four years from now, mitt's second debate "illegals" comment will prove disastrous to any candidate running for president. during this election, women spoke and said they knew their rights are would not compromise them.

this gives the question: how can the republican party survive a reinvention? a reincarnation where it appeals to minority votes like independent women, those with varying sexual identities and orientations, and people of varied ancestry? how does the republican party reinvent itself like this, in to a party that could come close to winning, when there are members of the party that are going as extreme as possible?

you know, you hear "separate from america!" and comments that "america is no longer my nation. it is a nation that turned its face on the bible." these voters won't accept a party that says it's okay to be brown, gay, or exercise a right of control over your pregnancy, will they? they are so extreme that this election has left them in tears over the social issues alone, nevermind the economy.

does this mean that the republican party will suffer a sort of civil war; infighting among its members? how liberal is too liberal? how much of a step to the left will be acceptable? if the GOP nominates a candidate that is "too progressive" for those who actually believe the heavens will punish america or that obama is going to "mandate white slavery", will they break off? will they seek out another voting path?

it seems to me that the bronze medal isn't going to third parties this election, but rather the republicans. third parties are coming out second because the divisiveness between moderate republicans and extreme-republican-temper-tantrum-rove-trump-babies is hurting the GOP from the inside.

i think '16 will be quite an election!
