2.4 million lead this morning to a consistent 2.8 million vote lead since late afternoon. Now he looks to be nudging up to 2.9.

Two magic numbers I'd like to see hit:

1) 3.02 million vote lead or more. That beats Bush's margin on Kerry in 2004. I don't think there are enough votes out there to bump him up that far, but who knows. Maybe Washington has votes, or mail-ins in California.

2) 62,050,000 - That would also beat Bush's total for 2004. Again, I'm not sure there are enough uncounted to pull another 1.4 million from the stack, but that would be nice.

In 2008 the total vote in California was about 13.6 million. Even if turnout went down by a million this year, there would still be over 3 million ballots left to count. I have to believe there are at least that many.

FL's results are still outstanding. They turned another election into a clusterfuck, but there is no impact on the federal level. The New York Times has already taken the electoral results off their front page. The country is moving on without them.

25. FOX tried to say he has no mandate. Just for reference:
Thu Nov 8, 2012, 05:27 AM

2004:
Bush 62,040,610
Kerry 59,028,444

Bush wins popular vote by 3,012,166 votes.
ONLY wins electoral vote count by 35. (286-251)

Yet he claimed THIS:

"President Bush proclaimed his election as evidence that Americans embrace his plans to reform Social Security, simplify the tax code, curb lawsuits and fight the war on terror, pledging Thursday to work in a bipartisan manner with "everyone who shares our goals."

Bush staked his claim to a broad mandate and announced his top priorities at a post-election news conference, saying his 3.5 million vote victory had won him political capital that he would spend enacting his conservative agenda.

"I earned capital in this campaign, political capital, and now I intend to spend it," Bush told reporters. "It is my style."

http://www.sfgate.com/politics/article/Bush-claims-mandate-sets-2nd-term-goals-I-2637116.php

So Obama's popular vote lead is 2,841,759 votes and counting (with uncounted provisional ballots all over the place including a bunch in AZ and FL) and could end up surpassing Bush's popular vote lead. PLUS he CRUSHED Romney in the EV count with a dramatic 126 EV difference (332-206).

Not to mention, Ohio didn't have to be stolen for Obama to win it like in 2004.

And they're going to have the balls to say "no mandate"?

FOX can go fuck themselves.
