7. I think he's looking for donors, not votes.

Donald Trump pays himself first, and he supposedly loaned his campaign a lot of money. He needs fresh rubes to pay for his campaign. Furthermore, if he's going to leave the race, as I still think he may, he needs to hit up donors right away so that he can keep that money, too.

So he's visiting states with large donors and lots of available political cash, so that he can leave with all the toys.
