******San Francisco Chronicle Endorses Hillary Clinton For President******

"A long and contentious presidential primary season has revealed plenty about the policy command, temperament and discipline of the major-party nominees. The contrast could not be more profound. One candidate is fit for the presidency. The other is not."

I would rather them run closer to the election when people are making up their minds.

Does the Chronicle usually endorse Democrats?

"The presidential endorsement is typically the last in a series of general-election recommendations. Until now, the earliest presidential endorsement of the five in my tenure had come on Oct. 17.

This year, our endorsement of Hillary Clinton arrived first.

Then again, this is no ordinary election year.

No candidate in modern history has so readily and completely disqualified himself for the American presidency as has Donald Trump. His vulgarity, dearth of knowledge and lack of impulse control are disturbing enough. His hypersensitivity to criticism that is poisoning relations with leading Republicans who are straining to support their party’s nominee does not suggest he can build the bonds with Congress necessary to get anything done.

No less troubling is his inability to distinguish friend from foe around the globe. He is leaving U.S. allies bemused and frightened at the prospect of a Trump presidency.

For all those reasons, our editorial board did not endorse him in the California primary even after the field had been cleared of opposition. Our conclusion, then and now, is that he does not belong in the Oval Office. There is nothing Donald Trump can do between now and Nov. 8 that would convince us otherwise. Even if he were to suddenly display a transplant of temperament, a transfusion of judgment and infusion of knowledge ... could you trust it to endure past the election, given his history of revolving stances?"

Was shocking to me, but I'm not mad at their decision.
