DNC will attempt to help Hillary however she wants. Otherwise the DNC does not provide support beyond providing data and other resources they always provide to every state.

Hillary's campaign will determine where they need to be and provide the operation and funding.

For the past 20 or so years, the DNC and candidates have campaigned here to accumulate funds they then take out of the state. Ie, we're just money to them.

Over the last three presidential elections, there was barely a difference between the percentage-points margins with how Texas and Tarrant County carried.

As Tarrant County goes … so goes the state of Texas.

Democrats need to contest Texas. And they need to figure out how to win in Tarrant County.

So much so that people feel that voting third party is just as viable as voting republican.

Then most of the votes would be split between Gary Johnson and Trump. If that were to happen, then and ONLY then would Hillary have a snowballs chance in hell of winning Texas.

That state is wall to wall conservative dicks. The increase in hispanic voters has reached critical mass to force a change yet. Nice thought though.

I'll tell you a quick story.

I live in a small city in east tx. I took my 88 yr old mom to have her hair done just the other day. There were at least 8 women in the shop. The stylist asked Mom if she's going to vote. Mom said that she will finally get to vote for a woman for prez. ALL these women sneered at each other and got very quiet. Mom asked if they were voting for trump and they ALL said yes with enthusiasm. Her stylist confessed that she didn't believe women were as capable as men because women get too emotional. My head almost exploded! ALL the women said they agreed that we women are inferior.

They started badmouthing Hillary and I just had to speak up, but it was no use.

That is how excited people outside of the big cities are about trump. Dallas is very red, too.

Tx may be blue someday, but it won't be any decade soon.

with this mindset among their family members have no idea. I will just say that a very close relative of mine is of the same opinion as the ladies in the salon. She is female. I am sorry, but to this type of person an "uppity" white female is worse than a black male. Not that a black male is bad IMO of course, but these women are extremely racist, and yet, they would choose a black male over a female of
their own race and gender. It is almost too much to comprehend.

Texas has lately been about +19 percentage points more Republican than the nation. But, given that Elections 2008 and 2012 averaged approximately 130 million raw votes cast for president of the United States, I don’t think a Democrat needs to necessarily win the U.S. Popular Vote by 24.7 million to be able to carry Texas.

I see the state on par with South Carolina. That state has been close to +15 in its Republican tilt.

I suspect that these two states would get carried at the same time should a Democrat win an electoral landslide on such a grand scale.
