In an interview with Larry King Live in 2005 Melania Trump said that she had never been married before meeting Donald Trump.

But, Michael Wildes, an immigration attorney who worked for the Trump Organization, told Univision's investigative unit that she obtained a green card four years earlier in 2001, “based on marriage.”

Just as Trump's ties are not made in the U.S.A, Trump's wife may not have legitimately been allowed to stay in this country. If immigration and calling immigrants criminals was still a speck of a thought in Trump's brain, I'd leave her alone. But if he's as hypocritical as to take his position that immigrants are thieves and rapists and drug pushers, then the immigrant in his family deserves looking at. Maybe he didn't know her immigration history was so messed up. But he should not have held her up as an example of the proper way to immigrate.
