Wow! Anybody see the interview from the NC black church that is endorsing Trump?

Finally, at the end of the interview the black woman state that she was an employee of Trump. WheW!! for a moment I thought she genuinely was a thinking individual who had a thoughtful reason for supporting Trump. Being on the payroll is good enough. I bet, no matter what they said in public, at least 75% of that congregation will NOT vote for Trump.

then switched to Olympics.

What made my head spin was "are you better off today than four years ago?" question.

I yelled "HELL, YES!" then got the hell out, so didn't end up with the information that she was a sTrump employee...

Interesting.

Catholic Church? No. Mega churches? No. African American churches and inner city churches? Yes. Be careful with unintended consequences.

The power to tax is the power to destroy.

The mega-churches and Catholic church just use it to their advantage. Now they want to keep the exemption and still get involved in politics, which will let their members to donate as much money as they want to the church (i.e., the political party it supports, which is generally Republican) and get a tax deduction for doing so, which they can't with political organizations.

Tax the churches that want to be involved in politics, leave the others alone.

Huh, I learned from one of DU's resident experts that economic justice wasn't all-that.

Katrina Rodgers is the daughter of the church's founder and grew up through the church's 38-year history.
She said she believes initiatives Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has supported have hurt the black community the church serves.

“It had a rippling effect,” Rodgers said. “Not only did the prison population increase but it brought about division in our homes.”

Supporting Trump will help working blacks, church members said.

“Providing jobs would automatically have a rippling effect on the economy which would have effects on crime rates which would have its effect on families,” Rodger said.
