Look, the office has its limitations to begin with. But, she was an assistant district attorney who now is the AG for the seventh largest state in the country. There is more to the job than just dealing with the Sandusky situation. He is in jail for life now, and there is A LOT of other business she needs to take care of.
She is a really fresh face, with few connections and understanding in Harrisburg. The admin, house and senate are all republican controlled, and she IS going to face every possible obstruction to dealing with Corbett that can be had.
I don't expect her to do much about Corbett, frankly, and not get much done because the establishment won't allow it.
But, it does break up the good old boys network a bit, and that is a good thing.
The fact is, now that this election is over, the smoldering coals with Corbett are going to get air, and he is in a LOT of trouble for his reelect in two years. We have not had a one term governor in Pa in my 40+ years, but he is making a good run at that.
I know A LOT, and I mean A L O T of rock republican's who want to send him packing.
The key is who the Ds put up. If they can put up a good candidate, someone who is solid, then it can happen.
There is a reason he surpressed the Sandusky prosecution. Penn State is a VERY, VERY republican institution, and he knew if he was responsible for pulling the first card out from that house of cards and it collapsed he never would have gotten the republican nomination two and a half years ago.
Now, he faces the counter blowback for sitting on it.
Again, the key is the Ds finding a viable challenger.
