Those two photos are really disturbing to me. They always have been. I just never see photos like that of fathers and their young teenaged daughters. Ever. Too weird, really. Disturbing on several levels.

It sort of raised my hackles the first time I saw it. Those two photos have always just squicked me out.

17. At the RNC the happy family lineup was sorta interesting on several levels.

The 3 boys look and act like Dad (ugh, the greasy arrogance), and the 2 girls look like their mothers, i.e. rather like Barbie dolls. Donald definitely has a "type" he likes.

The girl raised in California, Tiffany, looked like the odd one out. Just body language. I've read she has access to a fraction of the money the others have, and that no doubt has as much to do with her mother's decision to raise her in California as it has to do with whatever settlement Marla got when they divorced.

Ivanka today looks poised, polished, and a mouthpiece for the family onstage.

It's the creepy and very public family album photos of her as an extremely young teen that read like a textbook case on the kind of girl who learns very early that behaving seductively toward her father is the way to get material privileges, and that often goes with having been abused by the same man in the first place.

It's just so in-our-faces, like everything else Donald does. It's all about dominating everyone and everything in his sight. And getting away with it.

That you consider deleting this thread or at least the pictures. I know I'm a relatively new poster here but I'm coming from a place of wanting to be on the side of women and girls ~

And I'm not in any way suggesting the conversation of just how inappropriate Trump is, should be censored. But there are so very many things that could be discussed. There's a lot of meat on that bone.

These photos exploit Ivanka. I've posted my thoughts about these photos before. At the risk of seeming redundant, allow me to say it again -

I think it's vital to shine a light on Trump's behavior - just not at the expense of the dignity of any woman or any girl.

I'm suggesting that the particular photographs - rebroadcasting an inappropriate
moment - especially the ones where she's a child, revictimizes Ivanka, the harmed party. I mean, that's the whole point of the topic, right? Look at how creepy he is with his kid. Which he is. And she had to be on the receiving end of that.

The photos point out his behavior while simultaneously re-exploiting her.

I think we can all agree on just how reprehensible his behavior toward women is. I just take issue with the photographs and, as I've posted before, the unintended consequence of putting them out there yet again.
