How to Encourage Republicans to vote for Hillary

A friend relayed this story:

His 21 year old daughter, a Democrat, recently spent the day with her CT based maternal grandparents, both Republicans. They talked about the election and the campaigns. The 21 year old tried to convince her grandparents to vote for Hillary. The grandmother seemed convinced, but the grandfather said that while he hated Trump, Trump was a Republican and the grandfather always voted Republican.
The grandfather went on to say that the outcome probably wouldn't really affect him that much, because of his age - that really the young people - the millennials were the ones who should determine the outcome.

The 21 year old left the discussion at that, and plans to bring all of her cousins together to convey to the grandparents that they as millennials - want Hillary Clinton and they want him to vote for her - because of them.

CT is not a swing state, but I thought this was a good example of what people can do to persuade reasonable family members who are Republicans.

They will not vote for Hillary Clinton no matter what.

That is what I have been telling my relatives after they slam Clinton. It is a deep seated hatred of her. These are Romney voters from four years ago.

Is he a veteran by chance? Perhaps he thinks the VA should be privatized as well.

In some ways seniors have more to lose than anyone.

If he doesn't really care because he's not going to have to live with the consequences, he can let others with a bigger stake in the future decide.

Although you'd think that wanting a better future for his children and grandchildren would be enough.
