Mitt holds private beakfast with most affluent donors tries not to cry

Mitt Romney "began his retreat from public life Wednesday at a private breakfast gathering with a couple hundred of his most loyal and affluent campaign benefactors. The former Massachusetts governor, humbled by the thumping that ended his six-year pursuit of the presidency, reminisced about the journey and tried not to cry," the Washington Post reports.

"Some top donors privately unloaded on Romney's senior staff, describing it as a junior varsity operation that failed to adequately insulate and defend Romney through a summer of relentless attacks from the Obama campaign over his business career and personal wealth."

However, Romney himself "told the donors he believed Hurricane Sandy stunted his momentum in the final week of the campaign."

Even those who have a lot of money, e.g. John Kerry.

They say that when you have had that much attention showered on you, it is quite a shock to have sudden withdrawal from it.

Mitt is a real "nowhere man."

Is they had a bold faced liar..flip flopper and not likeable person in Romney...he was spineless and silent and thereby showed complicity in the face of racism and suppression...he also showed his distain for women and for 47% of the population.. add to that his willingness to take advantage of the crisis that left 4 of our fellow Americans dead...throw in hiding his taxes and therein lies the truth as to why he lost....ot almost forgot his ideas were from the stone age to boot...

The facts of Romney's career and personal wealth would still have sunk him and them. If this is really what they hold as their best argument, they prove that venality and stupidity are all that it takes to be rich. Commitment to the truth has never been part of that power paradigm.

Mitt is at the center of that crazy talk about Sandy stunting his "momentum". Had he bothered to read a paper or look at some numbers, he would have known he had NO momentum. He hardly got a "bump" after the RNC unless you went exclusively by the frenetic Gallop polls, Rasmussen or unskewered polls.com.

to handle Hurricane Sandy. It was his failed attempts at pretty much every turn. If there was any one person who is wholly unqualified to be POTUS, and the GOP is full of them, then it is Mittens.

He sucks. He sucked as Governor of MA for two years he was here. He sucked when he ran for POTUS in 06-08 while joking about MA for the other two years. He still sucks.

How can somebody with so much understand so little about governance? I could do a better job as POTUS, but I would never want that job ever.
