The fact that Trump is still in the race today is appalling

Its been somewhat appalling ever since he began pulling ahead of the motley crew that the GOP called primary contenders.

It's been even more appalling that his endless string of totally offensive and blockheaded gaffes have not scuttled him by now.

But yesterday he crossed a line that NO ONE with a half a brain or sense of common decency -- GOP or Democrat or independent --can justify, excuse, rationalize or otherwise defend.

It was clear and unambiguous that he had stepped over a line that even Republicans should not accept in a nominee.

It was so far over the line that it borders on criminal (or perhaps is actually criminal), regardless of how one tries to twist it. No one should allow blowing the dog whistle of either assassination, or armed resistance, or whatever other seditious action he was hinting at.....Even if he did't "mean it" it shows an incredible lack of clarity and judgement that it even crossed his lips.

If the GOP had an ounce of integrity, they would unite and pull the hook on him ASAP.

Apparently, that is asking far far too much. The reaction from GOP leaders should have been swift and unequivocal, and it wasn't. They are complicit in their silence.

separate the GOP who are merely wrongheaded and obnoxious from those who have no souls whatsoever

3. Had no effect on Hannity. Trump actually made an appearance.

Apparently nothing of the sort was discussed on the nightly Trump infomercial.
Its clear that Trump could actually shoot somebody on 5th Ave in front of the Trump Tower and it wouldn't change their minds.
If trump were to say that he would promise to blow up the world with atomic bombs his supporters would say it was gods will and
Pray for him to do it. It's a death cult.

...for his cons... I mean 'enterprises.'

He won't let go of that.

Win or lose, he wins.

That's how he sees it.

6. He certainly has a new market for the products sold by the Trump Organization

Some of his diehard followers can afford the exorbitant prices of his Trump branded offerings. After he loses in November he can continue to sell them the fantasy of being a participant in the Trump vision for America, possibly even establishing a new political party. The sky is limit.

5. GOP Integrity? Since when exactly has that phrase had ANY meaning?

The GOP of Romney?
47% of Americans didn't take kindly to THAT GOP...

The GOP of McCain?
The 'sound fundamentals' of THAT economy seemed to show a real problem there...as did the nomination (affliction?) of Caribou Barbie...

The GOP of W. Bush?
Sorry....I had to stop typing to wipe the tears from my eyes...the trainwreck that keeps on giving and giving seemingly without end thanks to bonehead decisions in Iraq and Afghanistan...

The GOP of Gingrich and the Bomb-throwers?
These assholes set the precedence for government shut downs as a weapon, incivility, disrespect and obstruction that became the only thing they knew by the time of the Obama presidency.

The GOP of H.W. Bush?
It's hard for me to ascribe "integrity" to the man who started the ball rolling towards today's instability by invading Iraq, leaving Saddam in power, abandoning the Kurds to revenge bombing and killings, eventually leaving the groundwork for the rise of Al Queda, the Taliban, bin Laden and never forget he fathered the idiot 43rd POTUS...

The GOP of Reagan?
At the end of the Reagan administration, it was widely regarded as the most corrupt and most compromised gang of thieves and criminals to ever hold power....more indictments, more scandals and more dammage done to the country than the previous GOP era...

The GOP of Nixon?
Watergate.

You literally have to go back as far as the 1950's and Eisenhower to actually find a GOP with even a modicum of integrity!

His comment about Mexican immigrants being rapists should have immediately disqualified him. I mean, how tone-deaf and bigoted can you get by making such a dumb comment? Then again, his base has eaten up this stuff with glee, so it's not surprising that he is so eager to pander to them.
