even them have been trending Democratic.Some In media only talk about Blacks and Hispanics but Asians are also tough for

Republicans on freedom they want to tell women what they can do with their bodies and who people sleep with In their homes.

And caring for family means you don't dismiss elderly and disabled members of your family as GOP would do.ANother reason why clear
majority of Asians aren't voting for Republicans.

8. Back in 2000, I believe that many Asian-Americans did support W and the Republican party.....

One of my daughter, although not Chinese, attended fulltime a Christian Chinese School for two years (her choice).....back in 2002-2004,
and I remember seeing a picture of Bush up in the office and the "No Child Left Behind" posters in the hallways!
Perhaps it was because it was a Christian school, and so these folks wer "in" for W.

We must, however, remember that Obama did have an Indonesian step-father, has a 1/2 Indonesian sister,
and lived in Indonesia. He also has a Chinese-Canadian Brother in law, and two beautiful Asian Nieces.
In addition, Obama was born and raised in Hawaii...

Beyond that, I believe that he has appointed more Asian-American to high level cabinet posts....
more than any President before him.

I wouldn't be surprised if he nominates an Asian-American judge to the Supreme court next....

So there are quite a few reason, beyond policies, that many Asians see themselves more in Barack Obama
more than in any other President before him, even though he is AA (or bi-racial).

Asians want better health care,improved economy,real education,and Immigration reforms.

14. May I offer a perspective ?

When speaking of Asian Americans, they include all Asians and Pacific Islanders including East Asians and South Asians.

The majority of East and South Asians are non-evangelical Christians - indeed non-Christian. Most East Asians are Buddhists and South Asians are in the main Hindus and Muslims.

Take Indian Americans for example. About 65-70% identify themselves as Hindu. Can you really see a Hindu feeling comfortable in that fascist-cult that the Republican party has become ?

Ranjan Zed was heckled and abused by right-wing activists when he as a Hindu Priest to say a prayer to open the US Senate at the invitation of the Chaplain and Harry Reid.

Not one Republican condemned it.

Bobby Jindal, Nikki Hayley and Dinesh D'Souza are all people who look down upon Hindus and Sikhs. That is not unnoticed among the community. They send the message that you need to be ashamed of the religion of your forefathers.

Or what about Buddhists from East-Asia ?

Does anyone remember Rev. Arnold Conrad on 11 October 2008 at Davenport Iowa doing an invocation before a campaign meeting for John McCain?

"There are millions of people around this world praying to their god, whether it's Hindu, Buddha, Allah, that [McCain's] opponent wins, for a variety of reaons. And Lord, I pray that you would guard your own reputation because they're going to think that their god is bigger than you if that happens. So I pray that you would step forward and honor your own name in all that happens between now and election day."

Asian-Americans - those are proud of their heritage - know that their future is with the progressive Democratic agenda and not with the divisive narrow-minded regressive (stop calling them conservatives, they are regressive) agenda of the Republicans.

Despite inter-minority problems that flare up on occasions (and let us admit it that work is still needed to forge proper understanding between groups), the racist evil that is the Republican party of 2012 ensures that as minorities, all will form common cause against an "evil Empire".

to many different parts of Asia, and regardless of their varying ethnic and religious heritages, they have almost all suffeed racist attacks or more subtle putdowns from republicans. Small wonder they voted for Obama.
