Chris Christie told Pres Obama "congratulations" on a phone call. Christie sent Romney an email.

Chris Christie, who last year dashed many Republicans’ hopes by turning down pleas to challenge President Barack Obama, says he had one word for Obama during a phone call last night: Congratulations.

And Republican Mitt Romney, the man he endorsed a full year before the election, raised millions in cash for, stood with at campaign stops across the country and delivered the keynote address for at the party’s convention?

The New Jersey governor says he sent him an e-mail yesterday.

It has been clear for a long time that Christie could not stand Romney and had little interest in seeing him win.

He could do NOTHING for Christie. Christie probably guessed (correctly, in my opinion) that Romney would soon be a pariah in the GOP. He didn't merit a phone call. He was lucky to get even an email from Christie.

Christie loves winners. Plus it doesn't hurt him to cozy up to Obama in a blue state where HE is the Republican.
