There is an article on politico talking about how the republicans are planning on moving forward from the election. They have interviews with many prominent republicans and here are some of their brilliant ideas.

Rob Portman says all is well but Republicans just need to talk a bit louder so that African Americans finally listen up

“We need to reach beyond our base without sacrificing our core values, and it can be done,” he said. “I believe there is a common sense conservative majority in swing states like Ohio, but it's a more diverse group than the GOP base. To get less than 30 percent of the Hispanic vote and less than eight percent of the African-American vote shows the potential we have to reach out with an inclusive message of fiscal conservatism, pro-growth policies to help small business and a renewed emphasis on the opportunity society.

A few have the old stand by of token positions

Oklahoma Rep. Tom Cole, a former chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee, pointed to the Senate in general and Rubio individually as the party’s promising actors on immigration.

And getting black and female voters? Easy! The republicans got....one!

Some in the party are already pondering immediate steps they can take on the symbolic front. One longtime GOP hand in Washington floated Wednesday the idea of a high-profile party post for Mia Love, the African-American woman who won significant buzz this election but lost her House race in Utah.

And the thorny issue of immigration reform? The republicans still aren't ready to compromise on that

short of cutting a deal on immigration that much of the party would oppose bitterly — or nominating a Latino candidate for president — Republicans are short on tangible plans for expanding their demographic reach

Don't worry though, Bob McDonnell, governor of Virgina and head of the republican governor's association, has a radical new idea for immigration reform. Seal the borders of course! But let Rubio break it to the Latinos of America. That's the part that win the Hispanic vote for the Republicans.

Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell, chairman of the Republican Governors Association, agreed that it’s time for a deal on immigration reform, but added: “I feel very strongly it has to start with border control and enforcement.”

“Marco Rubio and others will be leaders on that issue,” he said.


2 days after another epic defeat by a party that is completely out of touch with rapidly growing demographics of the country, the GOP has come up with two innovative ideas for fixing the situation

1. A few token positions to minorities

2. Immigration reform that involves building a fence on the U.S.-Mexican border.

Of course they will continue to resort to criminal tactics to suppress and intimidate voters in a futile attempt to stay in power.

But this election was a tide change that will overtake them soon, much as climate change which they also deny.
