Now that Donald Trump’s charitable entity known as the “Donald J. Trump Foundation” has been caught in a bizarre scandal involving the bribery of a public official who was investigating him, causing it to run afoul of the IRS, more details are coming out about the nature of the Trump Foundation. As it turns out, other than as a tax sham, there basically is no Trump Foundation.

The total number of paid employees working at the “Trump Foundation” is zero. The total amount of money donated by Donald Trump to the Trump Foundation over the past thirty years is also zero. The Foundation’s total donations to charity are close to zero over the past seven years. In fact the last major donation the Trump Foundation made was all the way back in 2009, when it donated $100,000 to the Clinton Foundation.

For the most part, the only independently verifiable activity from the Trump Foundation has come whenever Trump has occasionally stolen from it to buy gifts for himself. And now it’s at the center of Trump’s attempt to bribe Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi into dropping her investigation of the Trump University scam.

Even as Trump and the Republicans continue to apply scrutiny to Hillary Clinton and her own Clinton Foundation, that charitable entity has routinely come up clean and has helped save the lives of around ten million AIDS patients worldwide while receiving “A” ratings from charity watch groups..................................

It was $100,000 -- to the Citizens United Foundation.

So one year before he started campaigning against the Citizens United Supreme Court decision and super pacs (among other things) he had made his biggest donation of the year to the Citizens United Foundation.
