The media, like the honey badger, don't give a shit.

The better outcome has no weight with media folks. In fact, it's of no concern to them. Instead, it is an audience that they crave. The larger the audience, the greater the profits. So, since controversy attracts audiences, controversy will be the top story of the day. With politics, that's always the priority.

If no real controversy is available, it will be created. The media don't care. They don't have to. They don't care who the next President is, really. Once the election is over, they'll have to turn to other sources of controversy. The election is easy money. Ad revenues go up for news shows. The more controversy, the more there is a need for advertising.

It's all carefully calculated, based on audience measurements. If Donald Trump's rantings attract a larger audience, then the media will show more rantings from the orange-haired subterranean rodent. If Hillary's campaign speeches attract a smaller audience, they'll show less of those.

If outrageous statements attract larger audiences, the same thing will happen.

The media, like the honey badger, simply don't care. They're in the money-making business. All else is secondary to that.

It's sad, but true. We must vote our consciences and encourage others to vote according to the likely outcomes. We must become the source of factual information. The media will not assume that role. The media don't care.

The bulk of them are watching the major broadcast network news programming. Any one of the three major networks will have more viewers in the evening and nightly news time slot than all of the cable news broadcasts combined.

Who's watching the news? About 10% of the population on any given day. Does it matter? Indeed it does, which is why so much money is spent on events to attract news coverage. It's why millions are spend on 30-second campaign ads.

Does it matter? Of course it does. But the media don't care, just like the honey badger. That's not the business they're in.

However, if you don't watch it, how do you know who the advertisers are? Just curious.

We make a huge mistake if we think everyone is an online news addict. It's simply not true in any way. Most people do not ever look at news online at all. If it's not on their Facebook feed or in their email, they don't see it.

Internet news junkies are a tiny minority of voters.

his new book while simultaneously selling Trump's day care tax incentive in a lengthy interview. Ludlow went on and on unchallenged while Kornaki stood by cheerleading Ludlow's Trump /JFK tax comparisons.

Kornaki certainly belongs in the honey badger "basket".
