Possible October Surprise from the Russians (Sorry Worry Committee)

This morning on the 7:00a.m. PST CNN broadcast, host Craig Melvin was having a discussion with Terrorist Analyst, Malcolm Nance, (the black guy who is frequently a guest) regarding the hacking of Colin Powell's emails and the email hacking by the Russians in general. After discussing the contents of Powell's emails released, and comments Powell made regarding them, the CNN host asked what was the Russians hoping to gain by revealing this information? What was their point? The information released didn't seem to hurt Powell that much.

Nance said, speculating of course, that many in the intelligence community expect that Russia is trying to interfere in our November election, and many suspect an October Surprise is coming. Nance speculated that this latest hack could be part of a plan in which they hack into and disclose the contents of emails to obtain credibility, and authenticity of the contents of the emails hacked, but then just before the election hack into and publish emails of which the contents and or authenticity have been altered and this altered content would be the October Surprise. Having hacked and not altered the content of emails previously, the content would be perceived as authentic with no time and ability to disprove the lack of authenticity, thereby disrupting the November elections.

Since we know that Putin favors Trump, I can only speculate that anything coming would be directed at Hillary or Bill Clinton since they are the people that a large segment of the public would have no problem assuming the worse of, with no proof. The part that scares me though is, if that is the Russian's plan, than whatever they come up with would have to be pretty horrific in order to deliver the ultimate impact and a final death blow to Hillary's campaign. It's sad but I think that we have to brace ourselves for the worse.

Having heard this, I plan to take a "believe nothing about Hillary and Bill Clinton, regardless of the source", attitude between now and election day. Even if see it live on TV with my own eyes and my mother's hand on the Bible, I will not believe it. I would suggest that other Dems adapt a similar attitude.

altered emails, with too little time for her to respond -- and people have been taught not to believe her anyway.

It plays perfectly on us, they need an "October Surprise" to stand a chance in this election and they know it.

Anything short of God coming down from Heaven to endorse Trump will result in Hillary being the next President.

I still can't believe Trump got the Republican Nomination, this is going to cost their Party for generations.

releasing the actual emails?

I'm no Sherlock Holmes, but that seems stupid.
