Famous men who have fainted. But no one cared.

But when it's a woman running for President -- and she just gets a little light-headed -- the stories go on for days.

http://www.salon.com/2016/09/12/health-hysteria-and-hypocrisy-heres-a-news-alert-republicans-have-taken-ill-too/

The fact is that politicians get sick. Indeed, presidents get sick. George W. Bush fainted in the White House just sitting on a couch eating pretzels. His father famously caught the flu while traveling, grew faint and vomited on the prime minister of Japan‘s lap.

And the list of macho men who have fainted in public is a lot longer than you might think. This is just a sample:

General Petraeus faints at congressional hearing.

Major General James Martin fainting at a press conference in February.

Attorney General Michael Mukasy fainting in the middle of a speech in 2008.

GE CEO Jim Campbell collapsing at a Joe Biden speech in 2010.

changes of command and Memorial/Veteran's Day observances, someone "falls out" in unplanned fashion.

It happens.

Air Force major general faints while giving Pentagon briefing on that pig a/c the F-35 (LOL)-I'd faint too at those cost overruns--but he had a podium to hang onto!

At the time of their fainting episode, it would be big news.

7. Kerry's Feb. 2004 cough was so bad his aides thought he'd break a rib. But it wasn't news at all.

And it wasn't reported in any story that he'd had pneumonia till 8 months later, after he lost the election.

8. The Kerry camp never made it public

and the doctor never mentioned it at the time, from what I read.
And the Clinton camp probably would not have either if it wasn't for what happened at the 9/11 memorial. That's the only reason Team Clinton made it public. Because they kind of had to at that point.

without the video of them helping Hillary into the car, it wouldn't have been such a big thing.

10. Or just being honest and transparent from the get-go

Could have avoided some of this mess.

Honesty is the best policy.

"Hillary has been diagnosed with pneumonia. She is on medication and is recovering well."

Simple.

The Clinton camp made more of a mess out of this than it should have been because they didn't mention it and then got caught out basically.

12. No. If she had gone to the memorial, they would have said she should have stayed home --

and suggested she was lying about the pneumonia.

If she hadn't gone, they would have said she was lying about the pneumonia because she actually had something WORSE. (Which is still what Breitbart is saying.)

It didn't matter what she said. They've been attacking her health for MONTHS, for things like shaking her head during a joke. There is no way she could have handled this that they wouldn't have used as an excuse for an attack.

11. He had a pneumonia cough bad enough to almost break a rib, according to his aides.

There's no way some reporters didn't observe him coughing over the weeks that he was sick.

And when he DID acknowledge that he had pneumonia, everyone understood why he hadn't advertised it.

The exhaustion will wear on Trump too before this is all over, I have a feeling. He's not in the best shape, and the campaign has many grueling weeks to go yet.

He'd better be careful about those insults he and his sycophants are hurling.
