"It's the party of Trump"

In answer to the question "what is the republican party today", Chris Christie's response.

I just hope to god that every downticket republican in the country has to wear Trump's asshat-ness around their neck like a cow bell.

... IS the party of Trump. They nominated him, they support him, they praise him, and they defend him.

They KNOW he is unqualified for the presidency, that he would be a disaster as POTUS, that he would plunge the country into economic ruin. But they support him anyway.

That tells you all you need to know about the GOP and how concerned they are about their fellow citizens, and the welfare of the country as a whole.

The sad part is that the demographic supporting Trump is not that large. The problem is that the majority of Americans don't get out and vote, particularly millennials which is my generation. If we can convince millennials to further engage in the process then the Republican party will likely cease to exist or reinvent themselves.
