Now that the M$M has created their "horse race" what will they do?

The M$M has spent the last month tearing Sec. Clinton down and propping Trump up to get to their golden "horse race" near tie in polling. It's great for them guaranteeing both viewers and advertising dollars.

Now that they have manufactured this dead heat - with carefully chosen accompanying polls, what comes next? Will they really install Trump in the White House or will they try to redeem themselves in the remaining 50 or so days?

I am not hopeful.

a campaign 100% about trashing Donald Trump and his supporters isn't enough.

The "basket of deplorables" comment is looking more like a panic button move than a strategic decision.

For now at least the M$M fix is in. Even MSNBC is largely in attack mode when it comes to Sec. Clinton. All over the "dial" it's all Trump all the time.

Deciding to 'power through' pneumonia with the cameras on her and the "basket of deplorables" debacle were entirely self-inflicted.

Hopefully they've learned from those mistakes.

They need to stop shooting themselves in the foot, and then figure out a way to inspire people to vote for her.

I agree it's not enough to attack trump. I think her numbers jumped after the Convention because she offered a hopeful vision of America. I think her campaign needs to do both - exposing Trump's dark side AND offering up a hopeful vision for America.

All I know is - every time I turn on the TV - all I see is Trump, Trump, and more Trump.

He knows some of it will be bad, but he also knows some of it will wind up being good.

Clinton gets approximately 0% positive attention--I don't know what can be done to fix that.

Trump's understands that and it's a key to his success. The fact that the M$M has stopped doing their job just allows him to take his freak show to every TV screen in America.

her deplorables statement, which is true, but if she was doing to do what democrats ALWAYS do and walk away from it, she never should have said it.

The pneuomonia thing is bullshit, and dems bashing her for it are doing what dems do, folding into bullshit memes.

She is plently insprirational at times, and does a LOT of good campaigning. But that isn't the frame the media allows.

They don't want a horse race, they want their guy elected no matter how many lies they have to sell. They do what little they need to to obfuscate the obvious, their bias, but that is it. All they are doing is pushing their candidate. If you think they are there for any other reason, think again.

It is deplorable, but it is also our reality. Plutocrats own the M$M. They own it so they can control politics. It is all about keeping power, not about horse racing. They are working at dividing people to control them, an old canard.

Although I fail to see how a chaotic Presidency of the psychotic Donald Trump translates into corporate profits.

There is one poll I'd really like to see the M$M run - how many Americans trust the M$M. I'll bet their numbers are lower than congress

Regardless of all his populist bullshit - he is a 1%er - I'm sure the corporate conglomerates are looking forward to him slashing safeguards and gutting regulations. No doubt he'll be putting the wolves in charge of the hen house.

But Clinton hasn't given them anything to write about besides negatives.

Her surrogates might be just as bad as the media because they ALSO never stop talking about trump.

People like to watch train wrecks, right? What could be more 'appetizing' than decimating Trump for all his obvious missteps and lies?

But they may be afraid of boycotts from the lunatic fringe, so they don't want to do anything that sets them off.
