It has been my experience that you can't pick a winner by the number of campaign signs he/she has. It may be a sign of a well financed campaign but I don't think there is any proof that there is a direct correlation between campaign signs and votes. In fact, I live in a conservative community in California. During the 2008 campaign, a co-worker's car with an Obama bumper sticker on it was keyed in a shopping center parking lot. Couldn't prove a correlation, couldn't even be certain when and where it happened, (it was on the passenger side) but that is her belief. Since then, I never would put any political bumper sticker on my car. Too many crazies out there.

I live in McHenry county, one of the redder counties. I haven't seen a Trump sign yet.

I am doing data entry from walk lists for Amanda Howland, who is running against Peter Roskam in the 6th congressional district, and some of the lists have comments from the canvassers regarding Republicans who are crossing over.

Some Duckworth signs.

Many of the down ticket Republican'ts run unopposed in this county.
