...Trump knew about Holt and would do the first one, at least. Everyone seems to adore Lester Holt, but I've never seen him... now, I guess I'll see what all the adoration is about.

Loved him that day and well I love him now

He is calm when you really need it with an anchor.

Just because he's a Republican I would never hold that against him.

It does go against what Republicans have said throughout the years - Liberal Media. There is no such thing.

...I hope he does well. I agree there is no "liberal media" and believe Conservative Republican rant about it because it makes journalists who lean liberal strain to be fair. Republicans have no desire to be fair - they will start "news" networks like FOX. They will impeach, smear and investigate Democrats to the max.

12. What is more interesting is that Trump assumed he was a Democrat.

Hmmm, wonder why he thought that?

I never get the impression that he is particularly partisan from his newscasts. I don't watch him regularly, but my husband does. When I wander in, Holt seems ok to me, insofar as any TV news is ok these days.

he was there

as opposed to someone like carol marin, who was a journalist of sorts

lester was just a stolid lump, with no discernible personality; saw him while waiting for the sports

that was my impression....but I watch very little news, as it were, local or national

shallow, bloodthirsty, pitypumping treacle. total waste of time

showing favoritism towards a Dem. From what I can tell Holt is a pretty straight shooter. The debate will tell.
