Snifflegate...my take...

Sorry, but I don't think Howard Dean should have gone there. Unneccessary distraction, IMHO.

As far as the sniffles? I suspect it is related to Ms Clinton's pneumonia, too many hours on planes and in close proximity to lots and lots of people. As has come out during Hillary's episode, most candidates end up with some kind of respiratory irritation because of those reasons. Many campaign staffers also have problems.

I think many people on this board, who have to fly a lot for business or any reason would identify with that. Trump doesn't look all that healthy in general. It certainly would not surprise me to hear that he is somewhat ill.

1. I'm glad he went there...it brings a lingering question into people's minds.

Particularly combined with Trumps behavior at the debate...the pieces fit.

Sure, it could also be many other things, but why not do the "some people are saying" thing that seems to work well with many in the public.

Rally's are his comfort zone but high stakes debate unnerved him... in other words he choked.

Trump doesn't fly on a plane load of people (press use a different plane). So he is on the plane with just a few close advisers and maybe family.

He still poses with people and probably shakes a lot of hands but I've heard rumor that he is a bit of a germaphobe so I bet the antiseptic wipes are always handy.

That said, it wouldn't be out of the question for him to develop a head cold.

But then he and his aides denied that The Donald was sick or had allergies.

So... what to make of this:

1. He really has a head cold and won't fess up because that would make him look "weak"... especially after they made a big deal out of Hilary's recent illness.

2. He has allergies but won't fess up because people with allergies are "losers" (or something)

3. He really did do some coke or other nasal ingested drug. That he doesn't drink is not a sure sign that he doesn't do any illegal medication.

4. The directional microphone simply picked up on his breathing. OK, but I listened to his snorts and sniffles and they DID NOT sound like rhythmic regular breathing

5. His true identity is Darth Vader. (ok, just for laughs)

Out of these I go with #1 as most likely and #3 as second most. And no Hillary surrogate should bring it up other than a throw away "What's up with Donald sniffling his way through the debate?" sort of question. No speculation as to why. If they want to be nastier... "What's up with Donald sniffling his way through the debate like a deranged coke addict" but when the inevitable follow up "Are you suggesting that Donald did some blow?" the answer should be "Of course not, he just reminded me of the Anton Jackson character from In Living Color."

I don't care, its his opinion and he will deal with it.
Everyone from Doctors to Janitors were diagnosing Hillary when she was sick.
They STILL do.
FuK him, i don't what him to have a drug problem, Ebola would be better.

For some reason, the love to beat on him. It wouldn't matter what he said. He's smart. They're afraid of him.

9. I think he sniffs as sort of a punctuation mark for emphasis after he makes a declaration

It's similar to the way he juts his chin out and pulls the corners of his lips down after he's said something he wants people to cheer at, but the sniff is more like an underline than like a pause for applause.

Trump is a very unhealthy man. He could barely breathe and he also sounded like he was a coke head.

I assume you lack the snorting experience to comment on this in a meaningful way. I also assume you are not a doctor like Howard Dean is.

Check out the LIVE debate thread. See how many DUers came to this conclusion.
