2. NOPE! Lis Smith came across as an embarrassment.

She talked about Millennials wanting to support gay rights and minorities and a dozen other things that are already included in HRC's platform!!! If Millennial voters don't already know that Clinton stands for the same things they do, they're too stupid and a lost cause.

If these young voters really want to work for something "bigger than themselves," then they have to accept that they don't know everything about everything. Why is HRC's campaign site the one website that the Instagram Kids can't seem to access??

perfectly negative: 'they're too stupid and a lost cause.

If these young voters really want to work for something "bigger than themselves," then they have to accept that they don't know everything about everything.'

8. HRC has already done what Smith tries to advise her to do.

Gary Johnson isn't pushing for gay rights, or civil rights, or women's rights. It's insane that young voters are following him to this extent, as he's anathema to everything these lying kids are claiming is important to them.

"We don't need to worry about climate change because eventually the Sun will destroy the Earth," said Gary Johnson.

Stop pretending that followers of that clown are anything except stupid.

Persuade them TOWARD HRC because they truly have all the issues of the future; talk about ISSUES.

10. Seriously, how is this not getting through? HRC is already talking issues.

Millennial aren't listening. And yes, when one demands something and someone offers it to them and one refuses it, that makes one a perfect candidate for the term "stupid." I am beyond tired of this useless advice to cater to people who have swallowed a bunch of lies about HRC and won't bother to genuinely educate themselves about her actual positions on the policies that those same people claim are most important to them.

HRC is already the best candidate on gay rights.
HRC is already the best candidate on education.
HRC is already the best candidate on climate change.
HRC is already the best candidate on civil rights.
HRC is already the best candidate on the environment.
HRC is already the best candidate on prison reform.
HRC is already the best candidate on every single issue any Millennial might raise in this campaign.

I will not handle people who choose willful ignorance over honest truth with kid gloves.

I remember being "young" and though I didn't know a lot about politics or world events, I was suspicious of my parents' generation and resented being treated like I was stupid. Evidently some people don't remember being young or maybe never were.

3. Yep she needs to talk issues
Wed Sep 28, 2016, 11:12 PM
Sep 2016

Talk about the importance of the epa in predicting our air and water standards.
Talk about our food safety standards and make ads of trump wanting to do away with them.
Talk about human rights and freedoms
Talk about free college
Talk about stopping the rich from taking all the wealth
Talk about the minimum wage and unions

Hell, maybe it is time to even bring up a guaranteed income for anyone making less then 35k per year? Now that would increase living standards for our poorest???

She's been talking a lot, except Trump has sucked all media attention away from her.

Also, if millenials are voting for Johnson... Who basically takes a crap on all of that... Well, it's hard to believe
talking even more about it will make any difference.

12. I was reminded last night that millenials are the most liberal cohort ever.

They are open to all kinds of people because they ARE all kinds of people in that generation and because they are the most connected generation in the history of the world thanks to electronics.

They are not attracted to the age-old Left < --> Right political spectrum, apparently. What they are attracted to is an open political system and society versus a closed political system and society, the latter being what Trump is peddling with his isolationism, racism, misogyny and the rest.

After all the grumbling and handwringing I've read at DU, I felt very cheered when I heard that analysis.

Because, guys, we can work with this if we see it as outside the usual party lines. I hope Hill's advisors are on to this.

It just doesn't get covered beyond a bare mention. Did you hear any of the policy details from Bernie and Hill in NH talking about student debt? Of course not. All you heard was how Clinton is trying to appeal to millennials, and how a significant portion of millennials in NH support Johnson.

Reporting about actual policy proposals isn't sexy.
