any one else think Trump may throw in the towel and turn it over to Pence?

He stands to lose what little fortune he has and he will not be able to peddle is name after this. That is the only thing he had to trade on.

Trump is so deep into his bubble that he thinks he's winning and can't imagine the possibility (the probability) that he will lose.

Anyhow, even if the reality bird finally pooped on his head, he can't just "turn it over" to Pence. The VP nominee doesn't automatically get promoted to presidential candidate; the RNC would have to officially nominate him, or somebody else.

The megalomaniac needs the adoration to survive. Everyday he''s got to get those crowds iof ignorants to worship him. It's a drug now with him, along with some other chemical substance.

If he has a massive defection, a walkout of his staff, I think it'll be really bad on his ego. I don't know what he'd do and I don't want to seed anyone's head with ideas, but he'll be extremely depressed. Whether or not he makes a rational decision to drop out or something else, who knows. I'm not sure where he goes from here. Everything with his name to it is just turning to shit!

Plus, after next Tuesday's gentlemanly beat down Pence will suffer at the debate, nobody will have confidence that he can do much of anything. (Besides maybe selling gutter guards on infommercials with a fake mug of coffee.)

I'd start to seriously consider that my career in politics may soon be over.
The impending Trump loss is going to be so toxic and messy, anyone near
the campaign will be persona non grata in DC or in state politics for that matter.
I'd be planning self-immunization or better, a quick exit strategy.
The cash just isn't worth it, and besides Trump will probably stiff
everyone when he loses, bigly.

It is no more credible than the first time it was posted online.

Drumpf is not going to bow out until November 8 when he loses bigly (as he says).

12. If he can figure a way to make money doing it.

The only reason for his candidacy that made sense to me from the day he announced is that he thought it would make money. I don't pretend to understand how his twisted mind works, but I do think I understand that personal financial profit is his primary way of measuring success. (Sexual conquest--read dominance--is clearly another.) The profit motive is honorable in the case of many people in business. Many also provide a service that benefits others, and many provide a product that is actually worth what they charge for it. Not this poor excuse for a human being. If he can make millions from a failing casino and defraud people with a phony "university," he's capable of turning almost anything into profit. And if the latest Newsweek story is true--the one about his dealing with Castro's Cuba while such business was illegal--then his willingness to break the law for profit has a new dimension. That may actually be treasonous; I wouldn't put treason past him for a second if it made him money. It seems to me that the presidency is more likely to profit him than ceding it to his running mate. But my mind doesn't work like his, so I can't really predict the future as he sees it.

None of the votes already cast for him can be transferred to Pence, they're gone. He'd be effectively ceeding the election to Hillary, which isn't going to happen.

....had a chance to get rid of him at their convention, and they did not. Possibly their backup plan has been an early impeachment and installation of Pence, who is a hardcore true believer religious nut.

Our best hope is simply to make sure Hillary gets elected.

This is wishful thinking, and those so prone need to shake it off.

who thinks he won the debate on Monday - that thinks those ridiculous online polls are more valid than scientific polls. Remember how it is the bubble - not even Romney wrote a concession speech. Between his narcissism and the right wing bubble he inhabits, he thinks he's headed for a landslide of mythic proportions.
