Turn off the microphones during the next 2 debates?

Perhaps something Republicans and Democrats could agree on??? Turn off the mikes for the person who was not asked the question during the 2 minutes allotted to answer the question. Turn both mikes back on during the follow up questions.

Anyone have reason why this should not be done? Anyone think this would not make the debate better?

Hillary is smart enough to know when to stay quiet for the most part.

Part of what did Trump in at the first debate and made him seem like so much of the asshole he actually is, was his interrupting and going over time.

The issue was that Lester Holt let him get away with it. If you have a moderator who will enforce the rules it will piss Trump off even more and cause him to ramp up his horrid behavior.
