Scary thought for our liberal states

It shouldn't come as a surprise if a massive amount of republicans that prefer to live in red states start to
move to some of our safer liberal states that are not getting the bad weather. This would be a huge
blow politically since of course that would then mean they would now vote in our liberal states.
The southern red states have been getting pummeled with pretty bad weather. I just hope it doesn't
get much worse & this nightmare doesn't happen.

And you're concerned with republicans moving to liberal states? Really?

And that would only serve to make the red states less red. There wouldn't be enough people migrating to turn any blue state red without also turning the red states purple. So, i think the entire post is a sham.

1. They need to speak our language!

2. They need to support the USA flag instead of that other one with the diagonal cross!

3. Extreme vetting -- EXTREME! -- needs to be done because many of them are ARMED and dangerous!

4. They need to be asked about their religious views, especially since some of them think our government should be ruled by a Theocracy!

You have 49 posts on DU, significantly less than the norm. Your user name is TRUMP-BS-DETECTOR, which is one interesting and very specific user name. And your post sounds like something that a troll would say. I would say that we're dealing with a troll here. Have a wonderful time

go ahead displaced republicans, move to Washington, move to Oregon, move to California. you'll probably want to live on the east side of the west-coast states since the property's cheaper, the local population and political representation will be familiar to you, and you'll be further from the coastline.

we're strong over here too, we can handle it if our conservative fellow citizens opt to relocate. who knows, after a few years of living in states with a real dedication to infrastructure, maybe they'll rethink some of their positions? if not, doesn't matter.

whatever population moves to the liberal states and votes won't be (legally) voting in whatever state they moved away from in the first place. it's a zero-sum game, and the republicans are in a losing demographic position. by this time next year, the only people willing to admit to being republicans will be white nationalists.

So it's going to be hard to water us down even if they try to be sneaky and dishonest. And anyway dishonesty is a hallmark of "conservatism" so that's not going to work either.

Thanks for the heads up. Your concern is duly noted.

We have NATIVE Michiganders that can't handle the beautiful winters here. They are lovingly called "Snowbirds". So what twisted logic do you employ so Southerners would willingly move up to us?
Heck, I've seen some bundled up at hockey games.

Lived here my entire life except for a couple years spent in Alabama when I was in service.
We, my wife, myself and my 18 pound Havanese hike every day for at least three miles. Winter is no exception, just have to get the right gear. Nothing more beautiful then being among the pine trees in a snowstorm. Like a fantasy tale, sparkly diamonds falling gently from the clouds.
Let me be one of the first to welcome you to our glorious state.
Just pick a different football team than the Lions it will ease some disappointment.

But on the other hand my bro-in-law moved to Texas many years ago. Won't come up in winter.
When you go back to visit, go see his museum in Irving.

Using my GI Bill, so if Irving isn't too far, I'll definitely stop by. Nah, a lot of it is it feels like I shut down once it goes beneath 40F-- I might actually be a reptilian. (Though I won't dispute you on the beauty of snow.) And I will always be a Houston fan, so Detroit will cause me no pain lmfao.

At least the red state denizens might bring a little God with them and cut back on the biblical catastrophes?

We voted for President Obama both times and will vote for Hillary next month. So not dark red. Light blue for presidential purposes. And many, many of our republicans live in SW Florida. They are transplants from the Midwest. So perhaps they should go back home to a couple of red states...Indiana and Ohio.
